MIKE McMANUS
A native of Hamden, Ct, and Mike played high school tennis at Notre Dame in West Haven where he earned all state honors. At the University of Connecticut, he played singles and doubles while also teaching at Tennis Central in Woodbridge and the Ridge Top Club. After college, he was assistant pro at the Waccabuc Country Club in Westchester County where he was mentored by USPTA President Harry Gilbert, during his time; he helped grow the tennis program, producing juniors with top 50 national rankings in their age groups. He has also coached numerous men’s and women’s USTA teams to District, Sectional and National wins. Most recently Mike was a pro at Milford Indoor Tennis before making his way to us for his third summer.
TIM DANCY
We are very excited to welcome back Tim to the Paugy Tennis staff for his second season. Tim played varsity high school tennis at Fairfield Prep for four years. He interned with the Professional Tennis Management program at Glenmore Country Club in Charlottesville, VA last summer. He also worked as the women’s tennis assistant coach during his college years at Methodist University, while also instructing lessons and clinics at Westlake Country Club and Anderson Creek Country Club. Recently Tim has obtained his USPTA certification as well as become a certified personal trainer. We are excited to see the new tricks Tim will bring this summer.
ALEX ORBAN
A Milford, CT native, Alex began teaching tennis at the age of 16 at Milford Indoor Tennis. Alex played number 1 singles for Foran High School where he received the All-Hamonasset Award. He plans to play tennis for Albertus Magnus College in the upcoming fall season. Alex has also worked as an Assistant Pro at Birchwood Country Club in Westport, CT. Alex is back at the Paugusset Club for his third and best summer yet.
